God has been doing incredible things in KidVenture LIVE! (1st-5th grade). In April we learned all about the virtue of friendship. We discussed how Jesus wants to be our true best friend, and how in turn we can be a friend to others. The kids blew our minds by inviting dozens of their friends to church all month long. It was cool to watch the kids bring their friends to meet their best friend, Jesus.
The kids aren’t the only ones putting the monthly virtue into practice. Kids and parents come together to learn at Kid Kollage the first Friday of every month. Kollage is an action packed hour of drama, worship, and excitement. We love to see families worship, laugh, and learn about a Big God they can trust together. It’s exciting to see parents actively involved in what their kids are learning on Sunday. Often, parents know the score of their kids last sporting event, what grades they get in school, but how many parents are nosey about where their kids are spiritually?
Every month we give families a “take-out” where they put the monthly virtue into practice in their own homes. We believe that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. Parents who keep the monthly virtue in front of their families all month long create a far greater impact than what can be achieved on any given Sunday.
You’re not going to want to miss our next Kid Kollage on June 4th. You’ve seen the turkey, you’ve seen the dirt bike, and you’ve even seen Rocky… but you ain’t seen nothing yet! Our final family experience for the summer will have your families talking for a long time!
