Salome Thomas-El was born and raised in inner city Philadelphia, and has been a teacher in the Philadelphia school district since 1987 including being the former principle of John F. Reynolds Elementary School in North Philadelphia. Salome's faith and commitment has inspired hundreds of children in Philadelphia to attend magnate high schools, major colleges and universities.
Salome has been attending Fellowship for the last 2 years. Salome has received the Marcus A Foster award as the outstanding school district administrator in Philadelphia. Philadelphia Magazine recognizes Salome Thomas-El as the 2006 Best Philadelphian. Salome frequently appears on CSPAN, CNN, MPR radio and has also appeared on Fox News and BET. Disney has recently purchased the movie rights for his best selling book, I Choose To Stay. We are honored to have Salome Thomas El speaking at Fellowship.
